Robotization of the car will be divided into two stages. Realization of the first stage will be performed by VIST Robotics (R&D division of VIST Group).
The developers plan to equip the car (KAMAZ-5490 NEO), with a complex of systems for autonomous movement, most of which is the company's own development. Equipment from the world's leading manufacturers such as Continental, Quanergy, Trimble will also be installed.
Tests of the car will be carried out at the test site for autonomous transport provided by the innovative center of Skolkovo and located on its territory.
The second stage of improvements will be carried out by specialists of Nazarbayev University, at the test site in Kazakhstan. As a result, the complex system of a robotic car will be completed.
A partially converted tractor will be demonstrated by VIST Robotics at the Skolkovo Robotics Forum, which will be held on April 24 at Skolkovo Technopark.
